Undergraduate Research Projects from EpiStem Lab Selected for AdımODTÜ Support!!

We are pleased to announce that two undergraduate research projects from the EpiStem Lab have been selected for support through the AdımODTÜ Undergraduate Research Project Program, which supports research efforts by METU undergraduate students and aims to encourage students to engage in scientific research from their undergraduate years.

Undergraduate researchers Uğurcan Bodur and Hatice Sude Şanalan have been selected to pursue their research projects. Uğurcan Bodur’s project, titled “Understanding the Effects of SETD1B in Global Histone Modification in mESCs and NE-differentiated Cells,” focuses on investigating the effects of SETD1B on global histone modifications in mouse embryonic stem cells (mESCs) and cells undergoing neuroectoderm differentiation.

Hatice Sude Şanalan’s project, titled “Investigating the Role of SETD1B on Chromatin Landscape of Neuroectoderm-Directed Cells,” aims to investigate how SETD1B contributes to the chromatin landscape during neuroectoderm-directed differentiation.

We congratulate Uğurcan and Sude on this achievement and look forward to following their research progress!!
